Jump to HD
If you are tuned to an SD channel and there is an HD channel available, a message appears along the bottom bar
in yellow that states “Press Ok to tune to the program in HD”.
Recording TV Programs
With a TDS TV Connected-Home DVR, you can watch TV when it’s convenient for you! Schedule your favorite shows
and movies to record and replay them whenever you want. Pause live TV so you don’t miss a moment of your
favorite show and fast-forward and rewind to move frame by frame. You’ll never miss a moment of the action!
You can record a single program or schedule the recording of an entire series. It’s completely up to you.
Recording a Single Program
Recording the Program You Are Watching
1. While watching a program, press the RECORD button on your remote control. Recording begins immediately
and stops automatically at the end of the program.
The message “Recording” will flash on the screen. The red RECORD light on your DVR lights up and remains
on while the program is recording.
NOTE: Avoid shutting off the power to your set-top box for at least an hour after your recording has finished.
If you turn off power to your set-top box immediately after a recording finishes, there is a slight possibility
your recording may be lost.
Stopping the Recording of the Program You Are Watching
1. Press the STOP button on your remote control while watching a program.
2. A message appears enabling you to stop or continue recording. Select Stop recording, and then press OK.
The message “Recording stopped” appears. The program guide no longer displays a red dot in the
grid cell for that program.
Note: To continue recording, select Keep recording, and then press the OK button.
